Assignment Task:
Parenting advice on infant Development
Infancy is the time when tremendous growth and mental development occurs. Most infants learn to walk, manipulate objects and can form basic words; this stage is all about the first year of humans' life
It's a period where the parents and caregivers should prioritize, establish and secure a bond through consistent responsiveness. By providing physical affection like cuddling, talking to the baby frequently and playing silly games. Parents and caregivers should also create a routine to foster trust and healthy psychological development. Parents and caregivers are always advised to place the baby on their back on a firm sleeping surface with tight fitted sheets when sleeping, this will avoid infant death. Each year in the United States there are 3,500 sudden unexpected infant death (SUID)this occurs in infants less than one year old and it has no immediate obvious cause (CDC,2015)
Fine motor skills are very important at this stage, and they need help. Ensure a well-balanced nutrition to avoid malnutrition. Monitoring physical growth at each wellness checkup as neglect can cause consequences. Supervise your baby closely to prevent falls and choking while providing safe environment. The sense of touch is acute in infants and essential to growth, through touch infants learn about their world and bond with parents while being able to communicate their needs and wants. Touch plays help infants feel satisfied and protected building trust and secure attachment (Stack, D.M. (2010). Looking for Assignment Help?
