Organizational problems that companies in technology encountered in Singapore
Singapore has several IT firms that operate with the available infrastructure. The small scale IT service providers are the most affected ones whenever crisis arises. There are numerous challenges that the organizations are facing on the whole (Yeung, 1999).
- Support of the home government - Every industry expects to gain the support from the home government in order to expand and deal with the business activities at an ease. In Singapore, there is an inadequate understanding of the social support. Therefore, this remains as a challenge.
- Whenever global recession arises, Singapore faces several issues that hinder the developmental perspective of the organizations. When compared to China, Singapore does not have an enormous reach. Some of the large scale organizations try to withstand in those cases but other technology firms lose the support.
- People have limited access to technology when compared to any other countries. This shows that organizations need to take extra efforts to educate the customers and serve the local markets. The process becomes complex.
- The FDIs for technology firms in Singapore are limited. This increases the investments of the technology firms and affects the budget whenever the demand and supply meet at the equilibrium levels.
- Technology firms face labor force problems and connections with the host or critical countries.
These organizational problems have increased the overall overheads that companies are facing. Additionally, they have created huge impacts on the growth of the company. The technology infrastructure in Singapore is not vast. Hence, the inputs from the company need to be higher to create the necessary environment.
