Exercise 2 - The lifetime of light bulbs is known to be normally distribution with μ = 100 h and σ = 8h. What is the probability that a bulb picked at random will have a lifetime between 110 and 120 burning hours?
Example 1- Let's keep μ = 10 and generate two curves, one with σ = 2, and another with σ = 1, the normal functions have the following shapes:
The area under the curve for each normal distribution, f(x) and g(x) in the figure here above, is of course equal to 1.
