Question: Offering outplacement services is a great way to help lessen the blow to an employee who was downsized. Several years ago, my husband was cut in a RIF and his company offered him outplacement services. The company really worked with him on skills assessments, finding interviews, updating his resume, and in general provided some emotional support. It gave him something else to focus on and helped him feel more positive about his future. Has anyone else experienced this? Please explain
