Expand - Nurses are responsible for connecting patients to necessary services, including those related to genitalia or reproductive issues. However, challenges can arise due to differing opinions on services like gender-reaffirming care and planned parenthood. As a Christian nurses can provide spiritual guidance, prayer, and comfort, as well as a safe, nonjudgmental environment for the patient to communicate their concerns. The nurse can also provide the patient with biblical verses, stories, and quotes to help them manage with their situation and promote healing. By doing so, the nurse can assist the patient in seeing their situation in a new light and gaining a deeper understanding of it.
