CBT, Mindfulness, ACT comparison
Numerous studies examine how cognitive behavior therapy, mindfulness, and acceptance commitment therapy are complimentary as counseling approaches/interventions. What are some of the overlapping principles and how would you differentiate between CBT, ACT, and Mindfulness? Provide an example and rationale from the research as to what presenting issues/concerns and special populations might best be suited with ACT or mindfulness based interventions.
