Notion of collective forgiveness

Assignment:

The Criminal Justice system evolved as it has for a number of reasons, one of which being the idea that objectivity is a necessary component to justice. As such, the idea of forgiveness, either by individuals or the system/government has been regarded as irrelevant at best and often frowned on as potentially disruptive of achievement of that goal of equal justice under law All things considered, do you agree with this concept that a system of justice cannot place some reliance on the notion of collective forgiveness? Considering a response to this question, where would that leave the individual practitioner who has to deal with the realities of the field?

Your answer must be typed, double-spaced, Times New Roman font (size 12), one-inch margins on all sides, APA format and also include references.
