Problem1. Web 2.0 refers to “web applications which facilitate interactive information sharing, interoperability, user-centered design, and collaboration on World Wide Web”. Web 1.0 was read-only where Internet users went online to find information. It was similar to going to library to find books. With Web 2.0, which is read/write, people have become active participants and content creators. They not only find information on Internet, but also share and create content.

Question1. Explain the benefits, challenges and criticisms of using web 2.0 tools in teaching and learning.

Question2. A blog is type of online journal. It is updated daily or weekly or when the author desires. A wiki is a platform that is meant for anyone to update in real time. A blog is owned by individual whereas wiki is being updated by many people around the world.

i) Make a distinction between blogs and wikis.

ii) Describe which of blog or wiki will work best for educational use.

Problem2. A Networked Learning Environment in Internet age applies new technology to an extremely old concept— that learning is much more than classes and grades. It is about the learning that happens in a community of people and resources. The Internet has removed the limits of time and proximity that once restricted this community.
