Natural disasters have taken a huge toll on human life. For example: in Hurricane Katrina over 2k people were killed by storm and rising flood waters.
And this is a small number compared to disasters such as the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake/tsunami (280k+).
We are now able to see (often in real time) how natural disasters are deadly. What is your first recollection of a natural disaster visually seen on television?
How do you feel this impacted you from a preparedness standpoint and a mental health standpoint?
