Name the issue pertaining to state succession
The first issue pertaining to state succession is treaties. The new state would have to embark upon with the treaties signed by the former state with various international organizations. The general rule on the subject of treaties are that new state would be bound to follow the treaties entered in to by the former state relating to boundaries. The new state would have no alternative but to follow the laws as regards the boundaries. For example, the Durand line was a quandary concerning Pakistan and Afghanistan. The Durand line was demarcated 100 years ago, so the question was that after partition in 1947 whether that law still applied on the newly independent state established or not.
