PART II: SHORT ESSAY
Juvenile offenders are required to comply with rules imposed by either a judge or probation officer. If the juvenile does not comply due to a lack of understanding of the legal jargon used, this could result in the juvenile being pushed further into the juvenile system or into adult court. In an essay that is two to three paragraphs in length, describe what probation officers, law enforcement personnel, and judges can do to ensure that the juveniles do not leave hearings confused and unsure of what is expected of them. Please note that each paragraph must be at least five to seven sentences in length.
