Mr. X's MMPI suggests that he either suppresses anger and hostility or has a naturally low level of anger and hostility (O-H=58, ANG=36, TPA=41, AGGR=36). His responses on the PAS suggest no significant psychological distress, and only mild concern for health problems and social withdrawal. His responses on questions related to anger control, negative affect, psychotic features, alcohol problems, and suicidal thinking were all within normal limits, suggesting that these areas are not a problem for him (P=38.6, 34.4, 33.9, 35.9, respectively). While it is possible that he suppresses psychological distress or anger, his scores on the MMPI-2 suggest that his self-representation on these measures is accurate (L=48, F=48, K=64).
