Molecular taxonomy and phylogeny-bioformatics

Molecular Taxonomy and Phylogeny/Bioformatics:

Project description:

Discuss the 2 trees, highlighting the differences? Pay attention, for example, to whether your sequences had a start codon, were partial or not, predicted or not, whether it appeared properly rooted or not (i.e. was it a proper outgroup?). Do the trees show any surprises in clustering of your species? Did you work with true homologs? Trees like you have constructed are likely to deviate from generally accepted classifications of animals (e.g. a human may be grouped with a fish, rather than a mammal) explain why that is the case. Use a paper on the phylogeny of the gene family your sequence belongs to (nanos protein)and compare trees.
