Social media refers to websites and application that areplatforms for people to express their own ideas, feelings, thoughts, and creativity on the web. Social media can be public or private; the settings are at your own discretion. Social networks are developed websites and applications that allow you to communicate with others whether it's by posting information, comments, messages, pictures, etc. The information can be shared publicly or privately, only allowing certain people to view the information. Facebook is a social media network that allows you to connect with "friends". Facebook can be accessed through devices that have Internet connectivity such as a laptop, desktop, tablet, or smartphone. Once you have registered and created an account, Facebook allows you to personalize your page by adding demographic information such as your age, location, gender, place of employment, political beliefs, etc. You can also customize what particular information you want to be viewed by the public, your specific set of friends, and information only seen by yourself.
