Problem: Second, to mitigate the effects of these human flaws and the impact the flaws have on the wrongfully accused/convicted and our criminal justice system as a whole, researchers, criminal law practitioners, journalists, advocacy groups, and even the media have gone back and looked at hundreds if not thousands of case studies to research and expose the tragic consequences of wrongful convictions to both society in general and to the wrongfully convicted themselves. What have they learned from their research, and do you think it is important to study the problem historically so that we can come up with a solution? Why/why not?
