According to this weeks reading there are several areas to consider including organizations mission, resources available, individual goal making or team effort, and reviewing the goals to make sure they are being followed (Kinicki & Williams, 2016). One other factor that should be considered is communication. Miscommunication between different departments, management and employees can make it difficult to reach. How a company looks at a failed goal is critical as well. So the question is, what happens if the goal is not met?
Do you think it's important for a company spend time to evaluate if a goal unmet is a failure or an opportunity to capitalize?
