There are many reasons why we communicate lessons learned. In my opinion the biggest one it to prevent the accident from happening again. There is no need for someone else to get injured the same way. Accidents suck but ones that could have easily been prevented are much worse. As the web site states we can easily "fool proof" what happened or the tool used and make sure it does not happen again.
