How you can find out force in the member of truss by using method of joint?

Sol.: In this, after determining the reactions at supports, the equilibrium of every joint is taken in consideration. This means the sum of all the vertical forces as well as horizontal forces acting on a joint is equal to zero. The joint should be selected in such that at any time there are only 2 members, in which the forces are not known to us.

The force in member will be compressive if member pushes the joint to which it is connected whereas the force in member will be tensile if member pulls the joint to which it is connected.
