Problem: J.R. is a 24-year-old male who is just being admitted to the medical unit for monitoring and medication adjustment following generalized tonic-clonic seizures at work. He has a history of epilepsy since child-hood. A co-worker called 911 after J.R. "fell to the floor and began shaking." When emergency medical technicians (EMTs) arrived, the seizure had stopped. Another seizure started about 2 minutes later, so the decision was made to transport him to the emergency department (ED).
