Medical history of depression controlled with fluoxetine

Problem: A 32-year-old woman is brought to the ED by her spouse because she "has been acting strangely." She has a medical history of depression that is well controlled with fluoxetine. The patient's spouse reports she has had a cold and took over-the-counter cough medication a few hours prior to the onset of her symptoms. She is agitated and confused. Her blood pressure is 160/80 mm Hg, pulse is 140 beats per minute, and temperature is 39.C. She is flushed and her pupils are dilated. She has clonus and hyperreflexia in her lower extremities, as well as a tremor in her hands. Her neck is supple and no photophobia is appreciated. What is the most likely diagnosis? Need Professional Help?

A Bacterial meningitis B Malignant hyperthermia C Neuroleptic malignant syndrome D Serotonin syndrome E Tyramine reaction
