Mary Thompson is the VP and and head of strategic planning division of an american based multi national. She is opening a branch in South africa. First the company has the oppurtunity to contract at an excellent price for fabric from china. However, she has reports that the fabric probably came from factories employing forced labor. A second oppurtunity is from Pakistan. There are reports of child labor, usually girls under age of 14. Her third oppurtunity is to pen a plant in Saudi arabia. She is warnedthat for the operaion to be succesful, women should not be placed in executive positions because they would not be taken seriously by those with whom they had to deal. SHould she use american values and american views as a guide to what is right and wrong or should she simply get the best products she can at the best price and not worry about how or by whom they are produced? after all who is she to iimpose her views??
