Marketing texts that were used decades ago (as ours does today) used a customer-centered definition of marketing. But it can be frustrating that in spite of that approach being taught in business schools, the real-world application of marketing related to promotion of product.
After assessing the Rethinking Marketing article and looking at your perceptions of marketing as you entered this class, did you have a product management mindset or a customer manager mindset?
