Marketing plan ~ Write a marketing plan for a company that you will create. It must an original, hypothetical company, and you must use this template with the headings and subheadings.
Part one: Research
State the product category of the product you will create (ie. ceiling fan, day care center, bowling alley)
Briefly describe how this product category/ industry began
Briefly explain what you anticipate to happen to this product category/industry in the next ten years
Briefly describe the major competitor in the product category
Briefly provide an overview of that company (1/2 page)
Briefly explain how you will differentiate your company and product from the major competitor
Part two: Write a marketing plan for your original, hypothetical company
State the name of the company
Describe the specific product or service
State the location of the company and why that location is a good location for this company and product
State the mission statement for the company
State two major objectives/goals that are time specific and measurable (Sell 300 cars a month)
Conduct a SWOT analysis
Anticipated major strength (ie. human resources, finances, production facility, reputation, ethical value)
Anticipated major weakness (ie. ie. human resources, finances, production facility, reputation, ethical value)
Anticipated major opportunity (ie. competition, demographics, socio-cultural, economy, technology, political issues, legal issues)
Anticipated major threat (ie. competition, demographics, socio-cultural, economy, technology, political issues, legal issues)
Discuss the use of branding for the company and the product
Describe the target market (ie, age, gender, lifestyle, and socio-economic status)
Describe the company’s pricing strategy (ie. High end, middle ranged, low end)
Briefly describe the distribution strategy (ie. the type of store where you will sell the product)
Briefly discuss how you will advertise the company and its products
Briefly describe how you will attract new customers
Briefly describe the logo for the company (ie. Nike = swoosh
State the company or product slogan (Ie. Nike = just do it)
Part three: Company success
Briefly describe the qualifications and experience that you will require when hiring employees.
Of the major environmental forces that can determine the success or failure of a company, which will be the most important force for your company and its products? (ie. Demographic, economic, socio-cultural, natural, technological, or political/legal). Briefly explain why you chose that category.
High customer satisfaction often leads to high customer loyalty. What will you do to ensure that your customers become loyal?
Briefly describe how you will grow the business in the next three years.
