Map out your plan. What other courses, field placements, or experiences do you need to become a fully qualified teacher? Which level (elementary, middle school, or high school) are you interested in teaching? Is there a content area you are interested in teaching (such as math or history)? Is there an additional specialization you could obtain that would broaden your opportunities and interests? Have you discussed different options with your advisor? If you haven’t already done so, draft an academic plan and determine everything you want and need to accomplish (and when you need to do it) in order to be fully licensed.
