These "best practices" should not be adopted by an organization, without careful evaluation. This may include a review of other articles published on the practice, various scholars' viewpoints, and other research/case studies on the practice that have demonstrated success in organizations. You should also consider whether this practice encourages knowledge sharing, learning, and/or innovation throughout the organization.
