Manufacturing and Product Development Composite decks are made of recycled wood and plastic, are low-maintenance and sturdy, and are designed to last much longer than traditional wood decks. A manufacturer of composite decks routinely checks the surface wear as part of quality control. A sample of planks was obtained, and each was measured for surface wear using a Taber tester. The ordered observations (in Taber units) are given in the following table.

The planks are manufactured to have a median wear index of 200 units. Use the runs test with a ≈ 0.02 to determine whether there is any evidence that the order of observations is not random with respect to the median.
