Problem 1: First, individually search online for a screening tool used in the health care setting focusing on preventative care that helps a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) in the assessment of the cardiovascular, respiratory, or peripheral vascular system of a patient. Students must share in the Initial Post a description and/or link to the screening tool you found.
Problem 2: Then, critique the screening tool to determine its value for a primary care setting, including its ease of use, scoring and interpretation, and limitations.
Problem 3: Discuss what additional physical exam components, clinical management plans, and/or referrals the FNP would need to do based on scores achieved from the screening tool.
Problem 4: Identify key referrals and interprofessional team members that would be appropriate for managing the patients based upon screening tool results, with rationale.
