Problem: Assessment management plan Pharmacologic Care Supportive Care Patient Education Follow-Up: 23 y/o female presents to clinic with Fever, sore throat, headache that come and go, glands that are swollen and tender on her both side of her neck. Pt states her most distressing symptom is the sore throat. Fever started 2 days ago, Temp is 101.8 last night, Swollen nodes. Pain on her neck lymph nodes is like "ice pick in there. On a scale of 1 to 10, it's like 11". Acetaminophen brings her temp down for a while. Pap smear at age 21 was negative. Denies tobacco or drug use; reports occasional alcohol use, an average of 2 to 3 drinks per week. CAGE:0/4, healthy diet, walk about one and half miles to campus daily, sleeps about 7 to 8 hours daily, except during exams period, lives with roommates, sexually active with one male partner. Diagnosis: Pharyngitis, group A Streptococcal.
