Assignment Task: Teaching is a complex profession where the art and science of teaching must be well-balanced to suit the needs and interests of our students and their families. Our compassion for others that allows us to be vigilant in advocating for our students (the art) will only be maximized by our research, lesson planning preparation, and by the engagement strategies, we use to teach and help our students feel seen and heard (the science). We will often have to go the extra mile to make our students understand we care. There is so much going on in the world around us.
