Evaluation Essay
An evaluation is a genre of writing in which you must evaluate something: a product, a place, or even an idea or law. While there is no way to avoid opinion in evaluative writing, the goal should be a fact-based, reasonable, and relatively unbiased review. To achieve this, clear criteria need to be communicated, objective judgment of these criteria, and plenty of evidence that supports the judgments.
