Industry Analysis
Using the product from Week 1, Product Analysis, students are required to write an in-depth analysis of the industry.
Topics to be analyzed include (but are not limited to):
Industry analysis, including
Type of industry
Size of industry
Expected profit margins
Marketing strategy (low-cost or product differentiation). Make sure you support your answer.
The most common channel of distribution
Direct, wholesalers, on-line presence, or other
Industry growth (estimated)
Us a a graph to show the previous three years but anticipated growth for the next two years.
It is recommended the students incorporate the leading competitor's information into this same graph.
Competitor analysis
List the three leading competitors and their respected competitive advantages and weaknesses
Pricing structures
Marketing strategy
