Congratulations! You have been promoted to the position of Director of Online Learning and Program Development at a prestigious American university. One of your primary tasks is that of developing and adopting programs that will award degrees entirely via online learning.
A local radio show was debating the topic because of seemingly endless degrees that can be earned without ever interacting with a peer or instructor. The TV is flooded with commercials of students in their pajamas taking classes online. The convenience of the online courses is something that is very apparent to us all, but there has to be some point where we begin to compromise the degree or at least the type of degree.
List (and support) some of your top picks for the category of "It is absolutely fine for this degree to be earned online." and the opposing "No way would I ever visit this person/practice because they got their degree on the computer!"
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
