Astronomy Homework
For this homework I would like you to answer the following questions about the smaller members of our solar system.
i. Explain what a dwarf planet is. List some of the dwarf planets in our solar system. Describe the composition of the dwarf planets and explain where the various dwarf planets are found.
ii. Explain what an asteroid is. Include information about their compositions and all of the different places that they can be found in the solar system.
iii. Explain what a comet is. Include information about their composition, their appearance/structure when the approach the Sun, and all of the different places they can be found in the solar system.
iv. Explain what the terms meteoroid, meteor, and meteorite are and include information about their composition and where they come from.
v. Describe some of the various space missions to asteroids, comets, and dwarf planets.
Format your homework according to the following formatting requirements:
i) The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.
ii) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
