B. In Thomas C. Foster's chapter "Don't Read with Your Eyes," he discusses the last-chance-for-change stories. These stories focus on a character who has had multiple chances to alter their negative behavior but find themselves making the same mistakes repeatedly. Through whatever plot device the author cooks up, the character in question can make one last go at redemption. Ty -pe a one-page letter to Jack taking on the identity of either his wife or son and letting Jack know what you think of him after the events of the story. Also, avoid putting Jack into a simplified box of good and evil. Use examples to strengthen your reasoning in the letter.
