Liability in Tort
A partner commits a tortious act so then the remaining partners are jointly and hence severally liable with him, thus provided they authorised such the act either expressly, through implication, whether the act was done during the ordinary course of the firm's business: by S. 14.
Example for it is like in the case of like Hamlyn v. Houston & Co. a partner in a firm bribed the agent of another firm to the purpose of obtaining utilization with information for the partnership. Whether it was held that his co-partners were severally liable and jointly, thus the obtaining of constructive information was in the ordinary course about business.
