The Board of Directors for ABC Complete Kitchens has one more requirement for you before they are ready to turn operations over to the executive team. The board members would like your input regarding leadership of the new plant and the strategic environment in which the plant will operate. They have requested that you prepare a detailed description and discussion of factors and characteristics that the plant's executive team should use when selecting and developing the managers and supervisors that will run the plant. The board members also want you to describe and discuss the strategic environment, internally and externally, that they will use to help shape an overall strategic plan for the new manufacturing plant.
Your requirement is to research and write a paper that describes and discusses:
1. Leadership competencies, characteristics, and considerations that the plant's executive team should use when hiring new managers and supervisors for the plant.
2. The strategic environment of the new manufacturing plant using a Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis process. Your analysis should consider not just the new start-up plant, but also the manufacturing industry as a whole.
Your paper for this assignment should be between 1,800-2,500 words in length, excluding coversheet, title page, and references. The paper should be formatted and written in APA format.
In addition to the textbook material for this course (properly cited within the paper), you must also use at least five (5) peer reviewed journal articles or other textbook references. Websites and other non-peer reviewed references may be used (and properly cited in APA format), but these supplemental references are not counted toward the requirement of at least five peer reviewed journal or other textbook references.
Your writing should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts that are presented in the course and provide new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Responses should reflect graduate-level writing standards and have no spelling, grammar, or syntax errors.
