Kurtosis
- It is a concept, which refers to the degree of peakedness of a described frequency distribution. The degree is generally measured along with reference to general distribution.
- The concept of kurtosis is extremely useful in decision making processes that is if is a frequency distribution happens to have either a higher peak or a lower peak, then it must not be employed to make statistical inferences.
- Commonly there are three types of kurtosis that is:
i. Platykurtic
ii. Leptokurtic
iii. Mesokurtic
