KINDS OF ENTRIES
We observed that in a Library Catalogue there is need for several entries. A library catalogue is a time saving device also. It helps us realize the objective of the Fourth Law of Library Science enunciated by Ranganathan-'save the time of the reader'. So, while providing entries for a book or document we provide various kinds of entries that will help the user find his or her document. That means we are also trying to realize the Second Law of Library Science Every reader his or her book'. In fact all the Five Laws of Library Science can be interpreted as guide in the context of cataloguing of documents.
