Kerosene Purity
Many people who live in northern states supplement their main heating system with kerosene heaters. These devices are generally inexpensive, but a kerosene flame emits a noticeable ash and the fumes must be well ventilated. The flash point of kerosene is related to purity, ash, fumes, and safety.
A low flash point is a fire hazard and may be an indication of contamination. Independent random samples of kerosene from five dealers in Maine were obtained and the flash point of each was measured (in °C).
Is there any evidence to suggest that at least two of the population mean flash points are different? Use a = 0.05.
