Assignment task:
In 2005, Dr. Chris Haufler, director of undergraduate biology, University of Kansas, made the following statement in the KU biology newsletter, Biohawk:
As biology professors, many of us have students . . . who say, "Professor, I really don't know how I can be expected to learn the material in this course because I don't believe in evolution." . .
Our response? "Well, I don't 'believe' in evolution either! Nobody should 'believe' in a central principle of science.
That statement may surprise one, but it is a position which most scientists would agree with. Please read the notes on scientific method and justify Dr. Haufler's position.
