Example answer: The play I saw was guys and dolls and I was lucky enough to catch it on the last showing! It's about a guy named Nathan Detroit who can't seem to find a place to throw his crab game which is still not legal at the time. He finds a place but it is charging him $1000 that he doesn't have so he has tot think fast. There's a girl that works at the local mission and seeks sinners everyday named Sara and he knows a guy that would wager him $1000 in a bet. The guy, sky masterson falls for the bet which is to take Sara to Havana with him. Sara is appalled at first but Sky promises to deliver the 12 sinners she needs so that her beloved mission doesn't get shut down so she agrees to go. Nathan has a lady named Adelaid that he's been dating for 14 years. He try to keep the crab game a secret form her as she wasn't happy when he did it before. In one of his attempts to cover the crab game up he somehow gets Adelaide to think they're going to actually get married. When Sky goes to havana Nathan runs the game in the mission and when Sara arrives to see it she thinks that sky used her. Nathan ended up standing up Adelaide. At the end of it all Sky and Sara get married and Nathan and Adelaide actually plan to get married. Guys can't live without their dolls.
When I went into the play I honestly thought I would want it to be over as soon as possible. Turns out I felt like I didn't want it to end. The lighting did a good job at showing what time of day it way, the set was really cool and I thought that it was really nice that they put so much effort into each costume to really pull off each character. I have to say the way the men were dressed was my favorite! I love a guy in a suit. Overall the vocals were amazing, the acting was believable, and the set really tied together nicely. It was a really good to show to watch! Great way for me to spend my Sunday afternoon.
