Jurisdiction - High Court
Whether under Section 60 of the constitution states in which the High Court shall have 'unlimited original jurisdiction in civil and the criminal matters and such other jurisdiction and the powers as may be conferred on it through the constitution or several other law'.
Therefore the jurisdiction of the High Court is unlimited that it will in practice only serve as a trial court to civil cases whether there the amount claimed is much more than Shs.300,000 and cannot hence be heard in any Resident Magistrate's Court.
