You are at your family's Thanksgiving Day dinner, seated between cousin Steve and Aunt Jenny. Steve is telling the family about the great deal he got on dress shirts at the local department store, urging them to get their own deal before the shirts are sold out. Jenny cuts in to tell Steve that she won't shop at that store anymore because they don't sell American-made clothes. Jenny goes on to tell Steve that his new shirts very well could be made in sweatshops. Steve snaps back at Jenny, telling her good luck finding three American-made dress shirts for $65 total.

- Your point is that for there are costs and benefits for society.
- Wherever possible you must make reference to information gleaned from the commentary and readings in this lesson.
