Jane is employed by D&G Enterprises Ltd as a junior clerk in the mail room. She is sacked because of her inefficiency. On her last day with the enterprise, Jane, using the appropriate order form, orders five hundreds gadgets at a cost of $100,000 from BigBang Pty Ltd, an enterprise which has a long connection with D&G Enterprise Ltd. These gadgets are old-fashioned technology and D&G Enterprise has not used them for more than five years. When the gadgets are delivered, D&G Enterprise refuses to accept them, and refuses to pay. D&G Enterprise tells BigBang Enterprise Ltd that Jane had no authority to place the order.
