Theories such as transformational and servant leadership provided a foundation for understanding how leadership can inspire and empower nurses to address disparities actively. For instance, transformational leadership emphasizes the role of visionary leaders in motivating change, which aligns well with the need to inspire a commitment to equity in health care. Similarly, systems theory shed light on how health care is an interconnected system where changes at one level can influence outcomes across the board.
