It's a nice write-up, quite informative.

I would like to add how often should make measurement for their process here the organization management shall decide or regulate on the frequency of measurement per process. Logically, whenever r a performance system is implemented, they will be two different types of measure to be taken. For example, one type will be the performance measure itself, which will be taken and reported on repeating intervals. If we take procurement example, presumably this will be in a monthly basis, however some performance measures are used to monitor real time data of a particular process that will be required to be plotted and measured continuously. Generally speaking the measurement frequency of any performance measure is set once performance measure its elf is decided.

The second measure that needs to be confirmed is for the raw data, the frequency of collecting raw data can have a big impact during performance measure interpretation. Asking how many data is required to make a valid performance measure may be decided by the section manager or a person responsible to deliver quality results of a service or product, this is mainly he/she will be required to ensure that collected data is enough to present believable results, these people understands the need, analysis of the metrics without understanding how the process operates will bring little value, (Richard and Wojciech, 2011, p. 583-602), according to effective use of the performance measurement tools requires their application by the people who actually work on the processes.

What are your views on determining the duration of carrying out performance measures and data collection to run performance measures?
