Question: It is well known that exhaust end losses between the LP steam turbine exit and the condenser inlet will result in different values of enthalpy at the two points. In other words, the ELEP will differ from the UEEP. Conduct an analysis to show that the exhaust end loss represents the amount of steam kinetic energy that is lost between the turbine exit and the condenser inlet. Present all applicable assumptions and explain the results of the analysis.
