It is rightly mentioned in the website of Samasource that "talent is equally distributed, but opportunity is not". Outsourcing could play a pivotal role in uplifting the poor of the third world countries. The business model like that of the Samasource could act has a source of socio-economic development of all the stakeholders involved in the global marketplace. This would develop the political ties between the economies while lifting the poor out of poverty without impacting the outsourcing country. It's a win-win situation for all the stakeholders involved. The type of outsourcing mentioned in the video is not disadvantageous to any of the stakeholders. The jobs that are being outsourced are menial jobs which would not impact the jobs of the developed nations. Hence, the advantages of this type of outsourcing have for the individual corporation are:- Availability of cheaper labor, leading to improvement in profitability;
- Efficiency of corporations would increase since they would not be spending time on menial jobs;
- Better utilization of resources by allocating resources to only important activities;
- Contribution of corporations in socio-economic development of weaker part of society;
- Contribution of corporations in development of political ties with other nations;
- Exchange of information & technology leading to increased globalization.
I would like to also add that in all aspects this is good for business but, for the American youth that are entering the work force this will be a drastic just think you have a $600.00 Apple phone, but you can't get a basic job at apple because those positions have been outsourced to third-world country.
