Northouse (2013) says, "(transformational leadership) includes assessing followers’ motives, satisfying their needs, and treating them as full human beings" (pg. 185). In essence, a transformational leader sees followers as a valuable asset. How often is this the case or has this been the case for you in your professional experience? How did leadership make you and/or colleagues feel valued (not valued)? What was the effect on the collective? For the individual? How do you let your colleagues know you value their contributions? What is the effect on the collective? For the individual? There is no subject area. Just basic questions.
