Some types of intangible costs I think are most difficult to illustrate for a crime victim would be PTSD, depression, and long-term crisis reaction. It is difficult to illustrate because any event or thought can trigger their memory of the trauma. They would not be able heal if they keep getting recollections of the trauma that occurred. This makes the cost difficult to be measure because of its unpredictability. Although if victims are able to heal, their quality of life would not be the same. There isn't a monetary value that would help the victim regain the same life they once had.
